Your [re]construction project in 6 phases

Every project is unique and requires a customized approach. Costs and schedules vary depending on the size of the project and the executing parties involved.

Nevertheless, the steps I follow when creating a design remain consistent and transparent. This not only provides clarity, but also ensures quality and efficiency in the process. The first 3 phases include creating the design, while the last 3 phases are about executing the design. Because every project is different, not all phases are always necessary. So consider in advance how far you want to go with outsourcing the elaboration of your design and its execution.

phase 1

Inventory of wishes and requirements

The initial phase is the first and most important step towards a good design. By thoroughly researching all wishes and requirements in advance, the progress of your project is significantly streamlined. The Program of Requirements that we draw up together in this phase is a very important part of the assignment. It provides a basis for every design decision and ensures that all your wishes and requirements are included in the design process.

phase 2

preliminary design

In addition to the aesthetic aspect, the design must meet constructional requirements and requirements in the area of comfort and ease of use. That is why I take the utmost care in developing a logical layout for your space. Optimal routing, (day)light access, pleasant sight lines, custom-made furniture and invisibly integrated technology ensure that you will experience your space optimally.

phase 3

final design

After the spatial design meets your wishes in terms of comfort and routing and construction decisions to improve the routing and layout have been made, we continue with the furnishing of the space(s). Materials, colours, lighting fixtures and loose furniture are selected in this phase. By means of a 3D presentation you get a good idea of the end result in advance and you make well-considered choices.

phase 4

prepare execution

The design is now final. The working drawings of the various components can be made in this phase. Permits and quotes can also be requested now. In addition, the loose furniture, materials, lighting fixtures and other materials are recorded. For architectural drawings/construction calculations, choice of technical installations and other advice, external parties are called in if desired.

phase 5

execution

You can outsource the development and project management of your design to studio Driedubbel and its permanent, experienced implementation partners, but you can also do this yourself. Studio Driedubbel remains available for brief advice or questions.

phase 6

delivery

If studio Driedubbel does the project management, the delivery of your project is also taken care of. Together we will check whether everything has been carried out to your satisfaction or whether there are still issues that need to be addressed. A report of delivery ('official report') is made and the project is delivered to you. If desired, the project can be styled down to the last detail by one of the permanent partners of studio Driedubbel.
